Skyhook

Drone operations, Sydney

Specialist drone operations for vegetation and infrastructure.

01 Services

The work we fly.

Each job is planned, flown and closed out by our own crew. We start with three and add to them as the work asks for it.

01

LiDAR capture

Airborne LiDAR along powerline, vegetation and infrastructure corridors, planned around the terrain, the canopy and the assets so the capture is complete the first time.

It suits long corridors with limited ground access, and sites where walking the line is slow or puts people on bad ground.

  • Powerline corridors
  • Dense canopy
  • Limited access

Aircraft: DJI Matrice 400 + Zenmuse L3

02

Spray application

Targeted application from the air for vegetation that ground crews struggle to reach: steep embankments, dense bush and ground under power lines.

The slope gets treated without putting people or machines on it, and each run is planned around drift, buffers and the access the site allows.

  • Steep embankments
  • Dense bush
  • Under conductors

Aircraft: DJI Agras T25P

03

Heavy lift for tree work

Heavy-lift support for tree and vegetation crews. We move material out of places crews and machines can't reach safely, such as steep gullies, dense bush and ground with no vehicle access.

It shortens the job and keeps people off the worst of the ground.

  • Steep gullies
  • No vehicle access
  • Tree crews

Aircraft: FC100

02 Aircraft

Three aircraft. One job each.

  1. Capture

DJI Matrice 400with Zenmuse L3 LiDAR

Our main capture platform for corridor and vegetation LiDAR.

  2. Application

    DJI Agras T25P

Spray application on steep, dense and hard-to-reach vegetation.

  3. Heavy lift

    FC100

Heavy lift for tree and vegetation work.

03 About

Run like an aviation operation. Built for hard ground.

We work where access is poor, the terrain is steep and there are assets and people nearby. That shapes how we plan and how we fly.

Safety-led planning

Every job starts on the ground. We look at the site, the airspace, the assets and who else is working nearby before anything is booked. The plan decides the flight, not the other way round.

Set up for complex, high-risk sites

Corridors near conductors, steep country and busy work sites are the normal job for us. Crew roles, procedures and go or no-go calls are settled before the aircraft leave the ground.

Crews who know vegetation

Our people understand vegetation work from the ground as well as the air. We know how a tree crew runs, what it needs from an aircraft and when the aircraft should stay on the ground.

In the field

The FC100 in tree work

The FC100 gives tree crews a way to move cut material out of places that would otherwise take hours by hand, or need machinery that can't get in. Steep gullies, creek lines and dense bush stop being the slow part of the job.

We fly it as part of the crew. The pilot and the ground team work to one plan, with the lift route, set-down point and exclusion zones agreed before the first load.

04 Careers

We're building the flight operations team.

Skyhook is growing its flight operations team and welcomes expressions of interest from experienced remote pilots who want demanding, well-planned work in vegetation and infrastructure corridors.

Role open

Chief Remote Pilot

We're looking for a Chief Remote Pilot to lead our flight operations and the pilot team as it grows. If you've run a flight operation or want to step up into one, we'd like to hear from you.

Send a short note about your flying hours, the aircraft you've flown and the kind of work you've done. We'll reply to every expression of interest.

Express interest

05 Contact

Tell us about the job.

Where it is, what's on the ground and what you need from the air. We'll come back to you to talk it through.
